Twitter Browser?!
Although my main web browser is Google Chrome, I have decided that I would use another browser dedicated solely to Twitter. And why is that? Because I want a Twitter Browser and there is no such thing. The closest thing I can find is FireFox. I’ve been told that Fire Fox has the most Twitter add-ons that you can install on the browser. I want a page that I can look everywhere and see thousands of ways I can Twitter. And I think I have came close to it:
I admit, maybe I have gone overboard with this Twitter browser (new idea some day?), but it is nice to not have to go back to my page every few minutes to see what someone has written. I have more add-ons to Fire Fox than what was just shown. Just on there, I have TwitKit, PowerTwitter, TwitBin, TwitterBar, Twitzer, and the GreaseMonkey add-on. And I am not done with adding them on.
So whats wrong with having a browser full of Twitter Add-ons? The question should be, why are there browsers that do not have Twitter Add-ons? Or, WHY DON’T WE HAVE A TWITTER BROWSER?!!? If you spend a long amount of time on Twitter, and if you take the advice already given in previous blogs, you know that it can be time consuming and annoying to reply, retweet, and post links all by hand. However, after installing PowerTwitter, you no longer have to worry about RT @username: or going to tinyurl. Everything is in this add-on. So why do I have the others? So I can keep up with Twitter when I’m on a different site. The url bar can be used to post to Twitter, or go to another site, depending on the button you press to send it.
So, if you are like me and want a Twitter Browser, these are perfect to help you make one. And when there is a such thing as a Twitter Browser, I’ll let you know.
