To the spammers out there, I decided I wanted to write a poem:

I went to check my @ reply,
Saw something cool, but knew they’d lie
I KNOW I’ve seen a link like this before
Spammers watch is now my chore.

I get direct messages every day,
Why can’t they have something else to say?
“Click here to get 600 tweeps to follow.”
That’s cool, but why do you have only 6 to swallow

With your spamming links you think would get money
You won’t get anything, stop thinking you’re funny
Stop spamming us with your @ replies
The only thing that’ll happen is your account’s demise.

Twitter is supposed to be fun,
Now it’s not since the spamming begun
to destroy my love for receiving @ replies
I really really hope the spamming soon dies.

Anyway, I just think it’s funny that spammers who want us to “Click here for 600 followers” hardly even have 10 followers. Oh my! The irony! Anyway, I’m glad twitter is stopping the spamming madness, so I can tweet about my hamster and other things that are more important.
